PRESIDENT DR. OSWALDO MORENO
Dr. Oswaldo Moreno is a fourth-generation Apostolic. Throughout his life, he is devoted to drawing awareness to the intersection of ministry and higher education. He currently is a church planter at Anchor VA in Virginia as he works with college-age students as a university professor, clinician, and scholar.
Dr. Moreno holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Arizona State University, a master’s degree in theological studies from Harvard University, a second master’s in clinical psychology, as well as a doctorate degree (PH.D.) in clinical psychology. Dr. Moreno also received clinical and applied training at Clark University, the University of Massachusetts Medical School, Harvard Medical School, and Boston University School of Medicine. Finally, he completed his post-doctoral training at Brown University School of Public Health.
While pursuing higher education, Dr. Moreno served as the local youth president, worship leader, Sunday school teacher, the local church secretary, assistant pastor, and District President of the Northeast Messengers of Peace. Before serving as President of the National Messengers of Peace, Dr. Moreno served as the Secretary for the National Messengers of Peace from 2020-2022 and the Treasurer of the National Messengers of Peace from 2016-2020.
His ministerial philosophy has been to equip the next generation to reach their God-given potential that expands the Kingdom together. It is through his willingness to serve that God has allowed him to work in different areas of ministry.
Dr. Moreno is married to Luisana Moreno since 2012. Together, they are happily raising their children, Faith, Joy, and Zion.
SECRETARY ALEXANDER CORDOBA
Alexander Cordoba was born and raised in Miami, Florida by his mother. Amidst the struggles their family faced in a single parent home, the Lord guided his mother to the Apostolic faith shortly after his birth. At the age of thirteen, he made the best decision of his life, to be baptized in the mighty name of Jesus. Shortly after surrendering his life to the Lord, God stirred a deep passion in him to preach the Gospel and was mentored by Bishop John Fortino.
Alexander was set aside for the ministry in 2006 and ordained as a minister in 2011. He has served the young people in various capacities. His leadership began in a local level at Fountain of Life Apostolic Church in Miami, where he served as the local youth’s president for many years and was eventually honored to serve the Florida District Messengers of Peace.
In 2009, Alexander moved to North Texas where the Lord allowed him to work in many capacities. He served as the district board administrator, bible college director, district youth president, local church secretary, youth pastor, and co-pastor in Arlington Apostolic church. In 2016 he had the privilege to serve as a national coordinator to the Messengers of Peace. In that same year he was elected as the National Messengers of Peace secretary and was able to serve for two terms, through 2020. In 2022 during the general electoral convention, God allowed Alexander to serve once again as the National Secretary of the Messengers of Peace.
In April 2019 Alexander accepted the calling that had been placed in his life many years back, the call to Pastor. He currently pastors Hope Church in the great Los Angeles District. Pastor Alexander, his wife Melissa, and their daughter Hannah currently reside in Alhambra, California.
Alexander Cordoba nació y creció en Miami, Florida. En medio de las luchas que enfrentó su familia en un hogar de madre soltera, el Señor guio a su madre a la fe apostólica poco después de su nacimiento. A la edad de trece años, tomó la mejor decisión de su vida, ser bautizado en el poderoso nombre de Jesús. Poco después de entregar su vida al Señor, Dios despertó en él una profunda pasión por predicar el Evangelio y fue guiado y mentoreado por el obispo John Fortino.
Alexander fue apartado para el ministerio en 2006 y ordenado como ministro en 2011. Ha servido a los jóvenes en varias capacidades. En Abril de 2019, Alexander aceptó el llamado que había sido puesto en su vida muchos años atrás, el llamado a Pastor. Actualmente pastorea Hope Church en el gran distrito de Los Ángeles. El pastor Alexander, su esposa Melissa y su hija Hannah residen actualmente en Alhambra, California.
TREASURER JUDAH MONTENEGRO
Judah Montenegro is an engineer, public speaker, published author (The Science of Faith: A Perspective of Faith with a Logical Point of View), and overall well-rounded individual who loves to learn and grow. He has accepted the call to serve the Lord at all costs and to constantly become a better follower of Jesus Christ. Judah graduated from Arizona State University with a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering while remaining plugged into his local church where he serves today. He’s had the honor to serve as a youth leader, music director, LifeGroup leader, ordained minister, and is the current assistant pastor.
Judah earned a Master’s degree of Business Administration with an emphasis in Project Management from Grand Canyon University, and uses it to continually be a better vessel in the hands of the master. Judah is married to Rebekah Montenegro who he met while serving together on the Arizona District Messengers of Peace board. Combined, both have served on the AZMOP District youth board for over 14 years.
As an engineer, Judah shares the Bible in a creative, unconventional, and thought-provoking way. He uses his background in mathematics and science to gift-wrap the truths of the Bible for all audiences from different backgrounds.
He effectively engages curious and logical thinkers in a generation driven by information and technology. His mission is to always be a bright light in the world and point as many people as possible to the knowledge of the gospel of Jesus Christ.
Judah Montenegro es ingeniero y autor publicado (The Science of Faith: A Perspective of Faith with a Logical Point of View) y, en general, una persona al que le encanta aprender y crecer. Ha aceptado el llamado de servir al Señor sin importar el costo y de buscar como ser un mejor seguidor de Jesucristo. Judah se graduó de la Universidad Estatal de Arizona con una Licenciatura en Ciencias en Ingeniería Aeroespacial mientras permanecía conectado a su iglesia local donde sirve hoy. Ha tenido el honor de servir como líder de jóvenes, director musical, líder de LifeGroup (grupo pequeño), ministro ordenado y es el asistente de pastor actual.
Judah obtuvo una Maestría en Administración de Empresas con énfasis en Gestión de Proyectos de la Universidad de Grand Canyon University la cual usa para ser continuamente un mejor vaso en las manos del maestro. Judah está casado con Rebekah Montenegro, a quien conoció mientras servían juntos en la mesa directiva de Mensajeros de Paz del Distrito de Arizona. Combinados, ambos han servido en la mesa directiva de los MDP 14 años y dos años en la mesa directiva de los MDP a nivel nacional.
Como ingeniero, Judah comparte la palabra de Dios de una manera creativa, innovadora y estimulante. Utiliza su experiencia en matemáticas y ciencias para envolver como regalo las verdades de la Biblia para todas las audiencias de diferentes orígenes y cautiva efectivamente a pensadores curiosos y lógicos en una generación impulsada por la información y la tecnología. Su misión es ser siempre una luz brillante en el mundo y guiar a tantas personas como sea posible al conocimiento del evangelio de Jesucristo.
